Setting  up a Medical Laboratory:

  • The laboratory should be designed in such a way so that there is enough space for the free movement of the people working in it.
  • The  room should be adequately ventilated without strong currents of air. A strong breeze would become a problem in microbiology and would deflect the flame of burner.
  • The laboratory should have sample of lighting arrangement.
  • Good supply of running water in necessary.
  • Working benches should preferably 21/2  feet high for sitting and 3 feet high while standing.
  • The place for receiving the specimens should be separate from the working place.
